Fondaco Italia’s request was simple. To give a concept of portability of the Italian artworks and artistic heritage. The charm of their job is to make the artworks available that unfortunately would otherwise fall into oblivion. My idea was to dress people with the monuments we have, those that Fondaco Italia has already put into circulation as a sort of new life on the move. Trying to imagine the type of clothing that would suit each character I created was the most fascinating challenge. A real wellhead as a skirt for Miss Vera, the facade of Ca’ Rezzonico for Mr. Amerigo, some “Marciano” style trousers for the hippy Jack and many other characters who are now inseparable partners of Fondaco Italia.
